Just for today,
I want golden blossoms in my neglected garden;
And stamped love, mailed in an envelope.
Perhaps a drink to celebrate my being;
With threads of a web to gather my thoughts in.
Just for today
let me curl up with a four-legged friend
and rent the best room in a honeycomb;
walk into nowhere until my feet hurt
gather some clouds and dust them from my hair.
Just for today.
